1) If the buyer is only looking to acquire this web property and seeks for NO future engagement from the current owner and will NOT keep the current owner committed after the sale and the buyer is able to demonstrate ability to close the deal quickly, the owner will look for a relatively SMALL price and NO equity in the future company as you will become 100% owner under this term.
2) If the buyer, however, is looking to acquire this web property and seeks for future engagement from the current owner and will keep the current owner committed after the sale and the buyer needs more time to close the deal and HAS NEITHER plans to commit its own money for the further success of the venture NOR plans to help the current owner in raising additional capital for growing further the business, the owner will look for a relatively HIGHER price and equity percentage in the range of 50% from the future company as the buyer could become a majority owner.
3) If the buyer is looking to acquire this web property and seeks for future engagement from the current owner and will keep the current owner committed after the sale and the buyer needs some more time to close the deal BUT HAS plans to either commit its own money for the further success of the venture or help the current owner in raising additional capital for growing further the business, the owner will look for the SMALLEST price possible equity percentage in the range of at least 20% and no more than 35% from the future company as the buyer will be a majority owner.
